Beto Calvillo

Musician

Beto has over 20 years of experience as a musician. He is a graduate of La Sierra University, where he was the main percussionist for all their major ensembles for his entire collegiate career. He has taught music lessons to children through the university since 2013. Beto toured the US in Gold Drum Corps 2014 as a vibraphone player. His performance experience includes playing in Disney Concert Hall for Oh My Son, touring Europe with the La Sierra University Wind Ensemble, and playing in Carnegie Hall with the LSU Wind Ensemble as well. Beto teaches private music lessons and records drums and percussion around Southern California.

Beto currently leads his own jazz band The Hip Beans, and plays drums for Arrow Highway at Century Star Studios in Glendora, California. Beto is also a budding composer, synth music producer, and recently began recording folk covers on the autoharp. He restores vintage drums on the side and has developed a love for repairing old instruments.
